HRC Multisport Dominates at  The Belleplain Triathlon and Duathlon

June 1st:  It was a crisp and sunny day with only slight winds giving way to some fast times at the Belleplain Tri and Du.  There were a number of key performances from a group of young HRC multisport athletes, but in the end the “Old Guys” ruled the day.
Forty seven year old Val Harden of Doylestown eeked out an eight second victory at the Belleplain Triathlon, while another 47 year old, Johnny King-Marino, also of Doylestown, cruised to a nearly two minute win in the duathlon. Geoffrey Prudhomme of Pippersville finished 10th overall, winning his age group.
In The Triathlon on the men’s side, HighRoad Cycles Multisport Team was well represented with up and coming Bryan Verdeur of West Chester placing third overall. Veteran David Cox of Radnor was 12th overall placing him 3rd in his age group. Jason Steich rounded out the top male finishers with a strong finish.
The ladies were not to be outdone. Joanne Klempner was 4th overall, winning her division, while newcomer Jordan Henning placing 6th overall and capturing the female 20-24 age division. Not far behind was Doylestown’s Cheryl King-Marino who placed 8th overall and second in her division.
